High Performance Team

The Next Level Rowing High Performance Team is for athletes who want to explore the highest level of elite coastal racing. We are where the top athletes in the US train for bringing home coastal rowing medals.

Our main training centers are in Dartmouth Massachusetts and Cincinnati Ohio (yup, we have an inland option!!). Our athletes are spread across the country, coming together in camps throughout the year to train for targeted coastal races.

To apply for the team, athletes should meet the following requirements:

• be able to travel to team training camps periodically throughout the year

• have excellent sculling skills (coastal rowing experience not required)

• have racing experience in either flat water or coastal rowing

• maintain a year-round training plan

• be a cooperative team player both in and out of the boat

• have a sense of adventure and high degree of personal motivation

Erg Score 2K guidelines:

• Open Women: 7:10

• Open Men: 6:15

• Junior Women: 7:30

• Junior Men: 6:30

Erg Score notes: There are no weight classes in coastal rowing, so these recommended erg scores are adjusted to reflect a wide range of athlete size, and that overall athleticism is as important in coastal rowing as sheer wattage.
